Conditions for stainless steel cutting

First: in stainless steel cutting, the ignition point cannot be higher than the melting point: This is the most basic condition for the normal operation of gas cutting technology. When the melting point of stainless steel pipe is lower than its ignition point, the stainless steel pipe will not melt and the temperature will not rise during preheating. Naturally, combustion will not occur under the action of cutting oxygen.

Second: the melting point of stainless steel tube oxide must be lower than that of stainless steel tube, and the fluidity is good, so that the liquid can flow easily, and the oxide slag can be blown off, so that the cutting process can continue. Otherwise, the oxide with high melting point will cover the notch in solid state.

Third: only when the stainless steel pipe releases enough heat during combustion can it preheat the stainless steel pipe at the lower layer, and the more heat released, the greater the preheating effect, which is more conducive to the smooth progress of the gas cutting process

Fourth: the thermal conductivity of the stainless steel tube must be low, because when the thermal conductivity of the stainless steel tube is high, the heat supplied by the preheating flame and the combustion of the stainless steel tube will quickly lose to the inside of the stainless steel tube, resulting in a sharp drop in the temperature at the notch. If the ignition point is not reached, the cutting cannot be carried out normally or will stop halfway.

Fifth: there should be less magazines and other elements that hinder the gas cutting process in the stainless steel pipe, and less impurities to improve the hardenability of the steel. Only in this way can the normal gas cutting be ensured.
